We have proudly owned Bone Heads Food & Spirits since October 2009. We bought it from the prior owners that owned it for approximately 25 years under the name of The Pickle Barrel Inn.
We decided that BBQ smoked onsite and comfort food would be the perfect addition to feature in our area and it wasn’t available anywhere nearby. So we hired a pitmaster, did a lot of research, and together we created a great menu! When we were creating the menu by adding BBQ as a large part of our specialty menu, and also the fact that my husband’s father used “BONE HEADS” as an endearment to his five sons, we thought the name was a perfect fit for a BBQ restaurant!
I have been in the restaurant business for over 25 years and have always enjoyed working with people. My husband Jim has been in the construction business building many restaurants in the state of Florida.
Our son Dillon has just recently completed his term with the Marines, and our daughter Franchesca is currently a college student. We are very proud of each of them and are grateful for their help with the restaurant too.
Jim and I have worked very diligently to ensure that our guests are treated very well and have quality food and service at our little destination location. We offer you a feeling of stepping back in time to those nostalgic days at Grandma’s house.
